BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ANOTHER daring heist took place on Nevis yesterday (July 7) when two armed, masked individuals launched an attack on the Nevis Supply Office in Pinney’s.
SKNVibes understands that sometime during the late morning, two individuals – who were said to be armed with guns – reportedly entered the side door of the office and their presence caused individuals to run for cover.
The robbers – according to a Nevis Pages report – made off with an “undisclosed sum of money”.
That media house also reported that during the heist, the cashier was held at gunpoint and, as a result, was “traumatised” and was “later transported to the Alexandra Hospital, along with the warehouse clerk.”
At press time, SKNVibes understands that so far no one was taken into custody in relation to the incident but investigations are being made.
Only two weeks ago bandits robbed the Nevis Branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia of an undisclosed sum of cash. And during the investigation process a number of individuals were questioned in relation to the incident.
Nevis Pages however reported that these individuals were released from police custody and no charges have been laid.
