BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ACCOMPLISHING what few others have since the commencement of the programme, Akilah Wilson has won - for the second time - Kajola Kristada’s Employee of the Month (EoM) title.

SKNVibes paid to visit to Wilson today (July 18) at which point a brief interview with the June 2014 EoM was held.

The young lady - who works on the Supertrap Line - said shortly before she found out she was the winner, she was summoned to the Resource Manager’s office and just like many others who were previously in her position, she thought she “in trouble”.

“I was scared when my supervisor called me to Malvie’s office because I thought maybe I was in trouble. But when I went in, I was told that I won Employee of the Month.”

With the initial trepidation behind her, Wilson said she felt a sense of excitement and joy upon learning of her accomplishment.

She said she “didn’t expect it” although she had confidence that she could “do it again” especially since she saw similar success in 2009.

And of course, she willingly expressed her belief and confidence that “I can do it again”. The June 2014 EoM expressed that she tries to encourage her co-workers to strive to achieve this honour.

“I have heard my colleagues say they can’t win the Employee of the Month award and I have told them that it isn’t hard and that they could do it. It is simple while you put your mind to it and work on achieving your goals...”

The criteria on which Kajola employees are judged include punctuality, knowledge of the job, attitude and attendance.

Wilson expressed special thanks to her Supervisor Valarie Adams and her two sons Ajani - who is five years old - and Akieel - who is seven years old - for the part they played in helping her achieve this goal.

    Congratulations Akilah Wilson!
