Gunmen rob Chinese restaurant

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - INFORMATION reaching this media house suggests that a chinese restaurant was robbed by gunmen last evening (Jul. 19).

Reports indicate that shortly after 8:00 p.m., two masked individuals, armed with guns, entered the establishment - located on the corner of Lozac and Victoria Roads, where Star of India was located - and forcibly removed an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register.

It is understood that the cashier was held at gunpoint during the incident after which the perpetrators fled the scene.

SKNVibes made contact with Public Relations Officer to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David about the incident and he explained that he had no details about it nor could he confirm - at that time - that the incident did take place.

SKNVibes understands however, that no one has been taken into police custody regarding the incident and that investigations are being made.
