BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 11th, 2014 -- The National Carnival Committee is ecstatic after witnessing another regional victory for St. Kitts.
Senior Calypso Monarch 2013/2014, Richie Buntin, captured the Lime Leeward Island Calypso Monarch title during the 18th annual staging of the event in Anguilla on Saturday 9th 2014 during the Anguilla Summer Festival.
The reigning Calypso Monarch secured the number one spot after competing with King Repeater (Anguilla), Queen Thalia (Antigua), Sister Joyce (British Virgin Islands), Kalquesse (Dutch St Maarten,Baptiste (Montserrat), Dis and Dat, (Nevis), Spade (St Croix) and Solijah (St Thomas).
As we applaud the Calypso King for an incredible performance as he represented St. Kitts we would also like to congratulate him on this great accomplishment.
