SIDF meetings to discuss REACH

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 19th, 2014  --  The St. Kitts and Nevis Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is hosting a number of interactive sessions to provide detailed information about its recently launched program- Recognising Everyone’s Ability to Climb Higher (REACH). REACH targets students who are enrolled at or intend to enter the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, Nevis Sixth Form College or AVEC in 2014, as well as 2014 school-leavers who are seeking employment. The program provides scholarships, grants or training with stipends to applicants who meet eligibility requirements.

     

    Meetings have been organized by SIDF to discuss REACH with students and job-seekers in St. Kitts and Nevis who wish to participate in the program.  
     
    The meetings will take place as follows:

    (i) Tuesday, August 19 at 10 a.m. – Past students who completed CFBC, AVEC or fifth form in 2014 and are seeking employment are invited to this meeting.  The venue is the Wesley Methodist Church Hall, formerly the Old Boys School.

    (ii) Tuesday, August 19 at 5 p.m. – Graduates who completed fifth form in 2014 and have applied to CFBC, either the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (ASGS) or the Division of Technical & Vocational Education & Management Studies (TVEMS) are invited to this meeting.  Students who completed their first year at CFBC, or students who have transferred from AVEC to the TVEMS Division of CFBC are also included.  Parents are invited to attend this meeting. The venue is the Wesley Methodist Church Hall, formerly the Old Boys School.

    (iii) Wednesday, August 20 at 5 p.m. – Students who completed high school in 2014 and expect to attend AVEC, and students who completed their first year at AVEC and will continue at AVEC are invited to this meeting. The venue is the Wesley Methodist Church Hall, formerly the Old Boys School.

    (iv) Wednesday, August 20 at 10 a.m. – Past students who completed fifth form or Nevis Sixth Form College in Nevis in 2014 and are seeking employment are invited to this meeting.  The venue is the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Main Street, Charlestown.

    (v) Wednesday, August 20 at 5 p.m. – Graduates who completed fifth form in Nevis in 2014 and expect to pursue studies at the Nevis Sixth Form College or CFBC, either the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (ASGS) or the Division of Technical & Vocational Education & Management Studies (TVEMS), are invited.  Students who completed their first year at the Nevis Sixth Form College and will continue are also included.  Parents are invited to attend this meeting.
