BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN early afternoon shooting today (Sept. 1) shook the Greenlands community while leaving a man with gunshot wounds to his upper body and seeking medical attention.

The incident occurred just minutes before 1:00 p.m. at Fern Street, Greenlands and according to information gathered by this media house, the victim has been identified as an ‘Ibo’ said to be of McKnight.

Further information which SKNVibes received indicates that a vehicle in which the victim travelled turned northward into Fern Street and was quickly followed by what has been described as “a white vehicle”.

It is reported that shots were fired from the trailing vehicle and Ibo is said to have sustained gunshot wounds to his back and one of his arms.

He was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Members of the Crime Scene Unit and the K-9 Unit and other members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force were on scene following the incident and investigations have begun.
