Speaking at a press conference yesterday (Sept. 2) afternoon, officials from St. Kitts/Nevis, Dominica, St. Lucia and Guyana were all excited about the tournament.

Head Coach of St. Kitts and Nevis Geoffrey Hazel disclosed that it was his team’s plan to win the group but while playing “technically adept” football.

“For team St. Kitts and Nevis, we are quite prepared for this tournament. We want to invite the general public to come out and support good football. We hope to play technical adept football, something the fans would favour. It is our mission to top this group and we can only do so with the support of the 12th man that is the fans from St. Kitts and Nevis.”

The St. Lucian Assistant Coach Anthony Meeshac is hoping to enjoy the tournament.

“We are here to enjoy the tournament. Football is played on the day we are here and are planning to play good football here in St. Kitts.”

Dominican Manager Heinrich Anslem shared a similar sentiment of wanting to play attractive football.

“So far we are enjoying our time in St. Kitts and to repay you for your hospitality, we plan on playing some attractive football.

“We have a few scores to settle with our local rivals but I know for sure St. Kitts and Nevis will enjoy us much. We are also asking Dominicans in St. Kitts if they can come out and support us.”

Guyanese Head Coach Denzil Ray-Thompson – who is eager to get onto the field of play - wished all the other teams good fortune in their endeavours.

“I would say the Guyanese came here to compete…and we are working hard to be successful. I love all the teams that are here and they should have a good time at football.
