Kittitian woman investigated for suspected drug possession

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – A Kittitian female is being investigated for suspected drug possession or suspected drug smuggling into the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis.

     

    Deputy Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd told SKNVibes that the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise Department are investigating “a young lady and possession of an illegal substance”.
     
    He said the alleged incident occurred at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Saturday (Sept. 6) when she was returning to the island.
     
    He also indicated that she was taken into police custody and up to the time that the interview took place – yesterday afternoon (Sept. 9) – she had not been charged.
     
    An update would be provided via this medium when one becomes available.
