BASSETERRE, St.Kitts- ‘A want a fat gyal, A want a rolly polly...just roll fat gyal roll it..’ are some of the lyrics from the hit soca song ‘Rolly Polly’by Mr. Killa out of Grenada.
And come Monday 15th September, citizens and residents of St.Kitts and Nevis for the first time will witness the live and highly anticipated electrifying performance of this popular artiste who is currently taking the soca industry by storm.
This concert, dubbed ‘BIGGER N Better...Rolly Polly,’which is creating much buzz and excitement is slated to take place at Club Kactus in Bird Rock and is presented by Kactus Entertainment in partnership with TEMPO TV and Twisted Entertainment.
Gates open at 9:00 p.m. so that there is easy and relax entry and one can listen to DJ Music until Live performance begins which will start on time.
Mr. Killa- a slim body entertainer- is widely known for his signature dancing skills and more specifically for his style of performance when it comes to the ‘Rolly Polly’ song which involves hoisting and dancing with the voluptuous ladies...making them appear almost weightless which his audience always loves!
On the entertainment line-up as well for the upcoming concert would be: Shakki, Delly Ranks and Fantastic Thunda, Sensia , Energetic Yardie, TNO, Madd Squad, Live Wire Sound, DJ MaxWonder frm Jamaica, Small Axe Band , Kore Band, Xcess Band and Nu Vybes Band.
Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Kactus Entertainment Romeo Parris describes Mr Killa as being an “electrifying performer.”
He disclosed that the artiste is scheduled to arrive on island on the day of his performance as he would be leaving Aruba to Miami then en route to St.Kitts-Nevis and wont make flight on time for Sunday.
Parris said plans are on track and are going well noting “everybody knows the artiste so it makes it very easy for promotion.”
“We are organised. We are on top of our game in respect to the planning. Tickets are on sale. The venue will be ready and bars packed by the Sunday before the event and hopefully we do some rehearsals on that Sunday as well before the event. It’s a Monday going into the holiday...National Heroes Day,” he added.
He said a lot of females have been indicating that they would be attending the event.Have some Fluffy Diva friends who said they will be making a fashion Statement
He also shared that a show of this nature is to help boost the confidence of the voluptuous females described by him as those being on the ‘fluffy’ side.
“A lot of females have been telling me that they are going to be there. Let me just say that this event is to boosts the confidence of ‘fluffy’ ladies. So we’re calling out all fluffy gyals to step out and show their confidence. I’ve seen some gorgeous ladies. I don’t like to use the word fat because they are just thick ...full of substance and they are beautiful, full-figured and lovely. So this is a night for them and the thing about it is that the artiste is an electrifying dancers and performer well-known even by kids in the preschool. So we can expect a full house and I know a lot of slim girls will be coming out for the excitement.”
He went on to say that “As a matter of fact we have three prices that we are going to be giving out for best dancers maybe first and second runner up and the sexiest dressed fluffy divas and so forth.”
Parris assures patrons that the bar service will be improved this time around as well as the VVIP experience.
“At the last event we fell down on the bar side of it but this time we are prepared. The bars and everything will be ready a week in advance and packed and ready the day before as I said. One of the things that we are going to improve on as well is the VVIP experience. We now will be having professional bar tenders so we are going to have special mixes just like in a hotel...martinis and pina coladas. We will also change the work shifts for the VVIP section so we want to make sure that when people come in there, we want to make sure that they are feeling really good. We just really want to have an extra VVIP experience in a club setting.”
As it pertains to security, a safe partying atmosphere is of high priority.
"Security will be tight as normal. The Police High Command decided that we must have five police officers along with private security provided by Alpha& Omega Security. So the place will be fully secured from the Bird Rock main Road all the way down people could expect full security.”
Party goers and music lovers are asked to get their tickets early.
“We are asking people to buy their tickets early its $35 by ticket and at the gate is $50. Tickets are limited. Sales have begun already. The first two tickets sold for the event were VVIP. It’s. a very expensive show yet we are making the show cheap.”
