BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - Ellia Jeffers of Lockhart Street has been arrested and charged with a number of drug-related charges following an incident which occurred at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport over the past weekend.
The woman, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd, was arrested by police on Saturday (Sept. 6) evening after she had returned to the Federation and was allegedly found with drugs.
He disclosed that today, she was charged by the police with possession of cocaine, importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply. He said Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise Department also preferred charges against Jeffers, although he did not indicate what those charges were.
SKNVibes is not clear as to whether or not Jeffers has applied for bail or whether she is expected to be remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. But at the time of interview with the DCP, she was reportedly still in police custody.
