Honeymooners robbed by gunmen

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A couple that was honeymooning on Nevis reportedly experienced an unfortunate incident at the hands of three individuals who broke into the place in which they were staying.

The couple – which was staying in the Hermitage area - was reportedly robbed by armed assailants sometime last night (Sept. 12).

A source told SKNVibes that sometime last evening the three individuals – reportedly armed with guns and wearing masks – gained access to the dwelling place and confronted the male visitor.

Further information suggests that he was beaten by the assailants and sustained cuts and or lacerations to his head and face.

The female – who was reportedly locked away in the bathroom - was able to make contact with the police on Nevis and summon help for her husband.

SKNVibes understands that the police responded to the call and investigations are being made into the incident.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the perpetrators made off with a sum of money and used the vehicle which the couple had rented, to make their exit.

This media house made a number of attempts to contact the Press and Public Relations Officer to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David concerning this incident but all calls were unanswered.
