When she sings, she melts hearts and gives goose bumps. With this amazing talent she has entered and won many competitions.
She won the Rotary Talent Search Competition for high Schools in the category of Vocal Music in 2012. She has also sung and represented herself with distinction at various school, church and community events.
Blestina is an ardent pan player and placed second in the Digicel ‘Why I Love My School’ competition.
However, her tremendous talent has in no way deterred her from excelling in school.
She is described as a “Model above average student” and is also noted for standing out in her personal development.
Over the past five years, Blestina has been an example to her peers of how young people could utilize hobbies to advance their personal development, while simultaneously avoiding hindrances to their academic achievements.
She believes that being caring, optimistic and respectful are qualities of a good leader. She believes in setting a Living Example.
Most of all she encourages everyone to think before they act as “little things can influence your future”.
At the time of her citation, Blestina Charles was a 16-year-old graduate of the Cayon High School and is being recognized as a Remarkable teen in the categories of Hobbies and Singing.
