History making law term in St. Kitts and Nevis

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 16TH 2014 (CUOPM) – History will be made in the twin-island Federation when the new Law Term opens on Wednesday 17th September.

     

    Two female judges will be assigned as Resident Justices in the St. Kitts Circuit and the Nevis Circuit at the same time.
     
    Following the traditional Church Service at the St. George’s Anglican Church in Basseterre, Their Ladyships, Madame Justice Marlene Carter and Madame Justice Lorraine Williams, will inspect the Guard of Honour outside the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Services Complex on East Independence Square.
     
    A Special Sitting of the High Court in each Circuit will begin with an address by Her Ladyship, The Hon. Chief Justice Dame Janice Pereira. 
     
    Justice Carter is taking up a new assignment in St. Kitts, while Justice Williams will continue to sit on the Bench in the Nevis Circuit.
