The Reigning Miss Jaycees Int’l/Miss St. Kitts and Nevis: Kaeve Armstrong presents to Reach for Recovery SKB

    Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 18, 2014) – The reigning Miss Jaycees International Ms Kaeve Armstrong showed her support of breast cancer awareness and prevention by presenting the Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer support group a cheque for one thousand dollars (EC$1000.0)0 to provide mammograms for three women on St. Kitts.  

     

    The presentation was made to founder of the group Ms. Agnes Farrell on National Heroes day at the Palm Court Garden during the 3rd annual Shades of Pink celebration of survivors fundraiser organised by the Reach for Recovery group.
     
     According to the reigning Miss St. Kitts./Miss. Jaycees International “I take my ambassadorial duties very seriously and I was inspired to donate a portion of my winnings to Reach for Recovery as my way of lending support to fight breast cancer.”
     
    President and founder of the Reach for Recovery Group commended Kaeve for her very kind gesture and her example of lending support.
     
    Ms Armstrong has supported the group in a variety of events including her performance at the 2nd Annual Shades of Pink and at the group’s commemorative service at the Antioch Baptiste Church earlier this year to mark World Cancer Day.  The Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Support Group has been in existence for the past twelve (12) years and meets on the third Monday monthly at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College Technical & Vocational Division. 
     
    The group seeks to, provide emotional and financial support for women and men in the federation.  The group is also grateful for the support and contributions received from members of the community who are helping to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
