One in custody in armed robbery investigation

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFORMATION reaching this publication indicates that one male has been taken into police custody concerning the armed robbery of a TDC delivery truck which took place on Nevis yesterday (Sept. 20) afternoon.

     

    The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force issued a press release stating that the incident took place at about 3:15p.m. at New Castle.

     

    “Initial investigations revealed that a TDC delivery drinks truck was attached by armed masked assailants, who robbed the driver of an undisclosed sum of money.”

     

    SKNVibes understands that the vehicle was at Nisbett Settlement in New Castle when the incident occurred. Further information reaching this publication suggests that the driver of the vehicle had a gun pointed to his head when the money was demanded of him by the masked individual.

     

    Officers of the New Castle Police Station are making investigations into the incident and SKNVibes understands that one person was taken into custody shortly after the incident occurred.

     

    “Anyone who has any information pertaining to these crimes is asked to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do not have to provide your personal information and you maybe eligible to receive a reward,” the police are urging.
