BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 25TH 2014 (CUOPM) – Another highlight of this year’s events to mark the 31st Anniversary of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Independence will be held from Friday 26th September to Saturday 27th September.
This Street Market activity is a highlight of this year’s schedule of events and will be located in the areas of the Circus, Fort Street, Liverpool Row and Bank Street. This activity will showcase the progress made in the economic sector, and in particular, the empowerment of our people in various sectors,” said Chairperson of the Independence 31 Committee, Her Excellency Ambassador Astona Browne.
The event will be held from 6:00 am on Friday 26th September and will culminate 3:00 am on Sunday 27th September. Live performances will be played throughout the day and into the night by local artistes.
“The highlight of Friday’s event will be the ‘Band-O-Rama’ starting at 7:00 pm, which will feature renditions from several local bands including Az'1 band, Grand Masters, Nu Yvbes and on Saturday will be our Mega Concert that will feature Queen Ifrica and Busy Signal out of Jamaica,” said Ambassador Browne. Ali Dee and Infamus will also be featured.
