BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFORMATION received by this publication indicates that the third individual who was being sought by the police as a “person of interest” in the Kaheel Herbert murder case, is now in their custody.

Over the weekend both Gavin Whyte of Buckley’s Site and Inelbo Ibo Hendrickson of Malone Avenue – while accompanied by their lawyer(s) - surrendered to the police at the Basseterre Police Station and the third - Jahzya Roy Wilkerson of Shadwell – was still being sought.

Although the circumstances which led to him being in police custody are not made clear to this media house, it is understood Wilkerson was taken into police custody sometime yesterday (Sept. 29).

The incident concerning which the three men are being questioned, transpired on the evening of September 22, 2014 at the Accident and Emergency Department of the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

Reports indicate that while there, Herbert was fired upon by two individuals who entered the premises and was critically-wounded in the process. Despite hours of surgery, Herbert eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The police are still seeking the assistance of members of the public to pass on any information they may have concerning the incident. These individuals are asked to call either the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
