Basseterre, St. Kitts ARREST - K'wannii Liburd of Maynard Street, Ponds Pasture was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Refusing To Give Name and Making Use of Indecent Language, which were committed on 1st October 2014.
COURT CONVICTIONS
BASSETERRE MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Phillip Matthew was convicted of Driving Without Seat Belt which was committed on 1st September 2014, and fined $200.00 which is to be paid in seven (7) days or in default will serve seven (7) days in prison.
Jermaine Tota of Mansion was convicted for the offence of Driving Off Route which was committed on 3rd March 2014, and fined $100.00 which is to be paid within fourteen (14) days or in default will serve seven (7) days in prison.
Michael Lucius was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention which was committed on 8th September 2014, and fined $350.00 which is to be paid in seven (7) days or in default will serve seven (7) days in prison.
PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY MOVING VEHICLE
The Traffic Department is investigating a traffic accident which occurred on Wednesday 2nd October 2014 along the Bay Road, Newtown which resulted in a pedestrian being transported to the hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that motor van P2493 owned by Royal Beach Casino and driven by Lyndon Frazer of Old Road was travelling West to East along the Bay Road, Lyndon Frazer turned left onto Sandy Down Road and collided with the pedestrian, Davina Maynard of Lime Kiln.
