Face Of The Organization Workshop To Be Launched October 21

    Wednesday, October 8, 2014 - The Ministry of Education and Culture through its Youth Employment Services (YES) Programme will launch its Face of the organization: Becoming an Effective Receptionist workshop on October 21.

     

    The aim of the workshop is to give unemployed young persons the requisite skills and exposure to gain employment as a receptionist and to be successful.

    Sessions will be conducted daily from 9:00.a.m. to 4:00.p.m at the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.

    According to Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Culture, Mrs. Brenda Lettsome-Tye, this workshop is designed to give participants training in the intangible aspects of the office environment, the importance of first impressions and their role in the organization. 

    Interested persons can apply at the Ministry of Education and Culture and at the Youth Employment Services located on Main Street adjacent to the old Post Office in Road Town. The deadline for application is Friday, October 17. Applicants must be 18 to 30 years old.

    The workshop will conclude on Thursday October 23 and is the second of four workshops to be held over the course of the next few months. The first workshop on “The art of Food Service” was held in March.

    The Ministry of Education and Culture through its Youth Employment Services (YES) Programme remains committed to preparing young people for a bright future of independence as it continues to create a Culture of Excellence.
