Press Release

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – On Thursday, 23rd October, 2014 the Leeward Islands Cricket Association was informed by way of letter that it would not be providing a team to play in the LICA 3 Day Final against Antigua, which was scheduled to be played from 30th October to 1st November, 2014.

In its letter, the Anguilla Cricket Association (ACA) provided a signed petition from its players which cited several reasons for their non-participation in the 3 Day Final.  In the circumstances, LICA was left with no other option than to declare Antigua & Barbuda as the 2014 Leeward Islands 3 Day Champions.

The final of the Limited Overs tournament will be played as scheduled between arch rivals Antigua and St. Kitts at the Little Bay, Montserrat on Sunday, 2nd November, 2014.

LICA wishes to take this opportunity to thank the Government of Montserrat for their support of these matches and look forward to an exciting Limited Overs final between Antigua and St. Kitts.
