BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH recent unfortunate events still swirling through the minds of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, news of another shooting death has circulated.
The incident took place sometime after 9:00 last evening (Nov. 14) in the Needsmust area and resulted in the death of a man identified only as only "Mr. Seabrookes".
SKNVibes visited the scene to find clusters of individuals in the area and members of the Crime Scene Unit and other police officers attending to the scene.
Information gathered by this publication suggests that Seabrookes entered the area (in vicinity of his home) and was parking his vehicle when two gun men exited another vehicle and opened fire on him. It is reported that after the incident, they fled the scene in the vehicle from which they exited.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Seabrookes was struck multiple times.
He died on the scene and this publication observed that his body was removed from the area by the undertaker.
Seabrookes’ family members, including his wife and sons, were being consoled and offered words of encouragement by friends and neighbours.
His unfortunate demise brings to 17 the total homicides recorded in the Federation for the year.
