Government Talks ‘Financial Services Vision’ On Public Eye

    Monday, November 17, 2014 - The public is invited to tune into Public Eye on Tuesday, November 18 to learn about the Government’s financial services vision for the Virgin Islands.

     

    The live interview will be simulcast on ZBVI 780 AM and CBN Channel 51 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will focus on the Government’s mission to expand its financial services products, and to protect the Territory’s reputation as a well regulated, leading financial services jurisdiction.
     
    Featured guests will be acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Brodrick Penn, Financial Secretary Mr. Neil Smith and other members of the steering committee for financial services.
     
    The panel will discuss Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and further develop the financial services industry, including its most recently conducted financial management consultancy.
     
    It is anticipated that once implemented, the Virgin Islands will be positioned as a leading international finance centre, with a thriving, sustainable financial services sector.
