National Assembly to pay tribute to 25 Most Remarkable Teens for 2014

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS NOVEMBER 19TH 2014 (CUOPM) - A Special Sitting of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly will be held this evening (Wednesday 19th November 2014) to present awards to the 25 Most Remarkable Teens for 2014 in the twin-island Federation.

     

    Mr. Jose Lloyd, Clerk of the lawmaking body said notice has been given via the Department of Youth Empowerment, Sports, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Posts for the meeting at 7:30 P.M.

    Following the formal entry of the Speaker, the Hon. Curtis Martin, and a message will be read from the Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence.

    Speaker Martin will deliver words of welcome and Minister of Youth, the Hon. Glenn Phillip will make a statement.

    The Public Business of the Special Sitting will take the form of the reading of the profiles of this year's shinning stars by some of the Remarkable Teens of 2013 and presentation of the 2014 awards by the parliamentarians.

    The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil L.  Douglas, Member for Saint Christopher Six (6) to make presentation to - Shakia Queeley, Kizan David and   Nayala Daniel.
                
    The Honourable Dr. Earl Asim Martin, Member for Saint Christopher One (1) to make presentation to Ashika Williams, Rasheed Eddy and Nelia Jones.
     
    The Honourable Marcella Liburd, Member for Saint Christopher Two (2) to make presentations to Dikembe Morton and Trudella Spencer
     
    The Honourable Sam Condor, Member of Saint Christopher Three (3) to make presentation to Darion Caines
                            
    The Honourable Glenn Phillip, member for Saint Christopher Four (4) to make presentation Dennis McCall Jr. and Berneisha Steven.
     
    The Honourable Shawn Richards, Member of Saint Christopher Five (5) to make presentation to Leandre Dyer and Clayticia Daniel
     
    The Honourable Dr. Timothy Harris, Member of Saint Christopher Seven (7) to make presentation to Tessaney Steinbergen.
     
    The Honourable Eugene Hamilton, Member for Saint Christopher Eight (8) to make
     presentation to Sadiki Tyson
                 
    The Honourable Mark Brantley, Member of Nevis Nine (9) to make presentation to Nikovah Diamond and Roberitine Webbe       
                            
    The Honourable Vance Amory Member of Nevis Ten (10) to make presentation to Kimanee Robin                                                                 
    The Honourable Patrice Nisbett, Member of Nevis Eleven (11) to make presentation to Raashida Williams and Chloe Williams
     
    The Honourable Richard Skerritt to make presentation to Nicoyann Blackette and Kerissa Richardson                                         
     
    The Honourable Nigel Carty to make presentation to Gene Amory Jr. and Azurdee Mills 
    The Honourable Vincent Byron to make presentation to Quacemt Edwards.
     
    Director of  the Department of Youth, Mr. Geoffrey Hanley will speak on the adjournment.
