Rodney's Tent Rental Services opens its doors

Rodney cutting the Ribbon with Mr. Peter Adrien, SIDF Executive to officially open her new business.
Press Release

On Thursday November 13th, at Stoney Grove, yet another SIDF-funded, small business opened its doors in Nevis.    On this occasion, the business was Rodney’s Tent Rental Services.  Said company will be owned and managed by Ms. Rodney Elliott, a well-known business person in Nevis and St. Kitts.  In giving comments, Ms. Elliott highlighted the fact that she has been in business for over 30 years, as she currently has a thriving Restaurant and Catering Operation, known as Rodney’s Cuisine. Ms. Elliott added further that the idea to rent tables, tents and chairs germinated from three main reasons.  First, such a rental operation would create synergy for her current restaurant business.    That is, Rodney’s Cuisine could rent tables, chairs, and tents from Rodney’s Tent Rental Services when she had catering jobs.  “Nice Strategy she noted smiling!”

Secondly, Ms. Elliott noted that her company would expertly address the shortage of rental items locally, as Rodney’s Tent Rental Services would be offering 5-foot, 6-foot, and 8-foot tables, plus 10 * 20, 30 * 30, 24 * 40, and 20 * 40 tents, and not forgetting elegant, white folding chairs.

Thirdly, Ms. Rodney commended SIDF for its initiative to identify entrepreneurial-minded persons in Nevis and offer financial support, formal training, and other assistance in helping them to materialize their dreams of owning a business.  “Because of SIDF,” she recorded, “Rodney’s Tent Rental Services is opening today.”

Mr. Peter Adrien represented SIDF and praised Ms. Elliott for taking the initiative to start yet another business venture. He expressed his adoration for her networking, ambitiousness, and tenacity, noting that she has again reinforced her position amongst the cluster of women who are slowly taking over the business place across the Caribbean, and by extension the world.

In giving remarks, the Hon. Troy Liburd also praised Ms. Elliott.   He registered that she is filling a much-needed gap in the market and with her business prowess, he expected nothing but success from her.
