Three escape accident with minor injuries

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ALTHOUGH very thankful, it came as a surprise to many that three individuals who were involved in a one-vehicle traffic accident yesterday, escaped virtually unharmed, given the extend of the damage to the vehicle.

The three are Windsor students who were travelling in motorcar P8724, driven by Chizindu Welemele Ihundo.

Information received by this publication suggests that the vehicle was travelling from Basseterre heading in Cayon’s direction and while taking a slight corner just past CONTEC, the driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road.

He reportedly ran off on the mountain side of the road, collided with a reinforced wall, flipped and snapped a utility pole in two causing one part of it to fall.

When the vehicle came to a standstill, it rested on its roof through which the other part of the utility pole had pierced.

SKNVibes understands that before the police arrived on the scene, the three occupants of the vehicle were transported – via private vehicle – to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where they received treatment for minor injuries and discharged.
