BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE trio, who was charged late October for firearm and ammunition possession and two weeks prior for possession of illegal drugs, was recently charged with the murder of Javier Isaac of St. Paul’s Village.

The three men are Omax Bye of Fort Thomas Road, Jamal Mc Sheen of Bird Rock and Zambi Heath of Cardin Avenue.

A police release only stated the names and addresses of the men but did not say with whose murder they were charged. It however noted that the offence was committed on October 12, 2014.

SKNVibes was however reliably informed that the victim was Isaac, who was shot to the side of his body at about 3:15 a.m. on October 12 while at Willet’s Housing Project in St. Paul’s Village.

He was rushed to the JNF General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving medical attention.

A prior investigation by this media house revealed that Isaac had attended a party at which a popular band from St. Kitts had played and, after exiting the venue, two shot were fired in his direction and one struck him to the side.

One individual however claimed that he was shot in the dancehall.

The individual stated that while a DJ was playing and the attendees were dancing, the sounds of gunfire were heard and they ran out of the venue. However, after exiting the dancehall, Isaac fell to the ground just outside the gate leading to the venue.

SKNVibes learned that the projectile exited Isaac’s body and the police had recovered both of them.

On inquiring about the young man’s demise at that time, Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David informed this media house that three individuals were in custody assisting police with their investigation into the matter.

But shortly thereafter, SKNVibes’ investigation revealed that in the wee hours of Sunday (Oct. 12), based on information gathered by their Intelligence arm, members of the Special Services Unit had laid in wait at two points in McKnight.

Shortly after being in place, the lawmen saw a white jeep (rental) approaching one of the two points. The officers quickly approached the vehicle, surrounded it and ordered the occupants to disembark.

A search of the occupants and the vehicle revealed a quantity of cannabis sativa and a .357 Magnum Revolver.

The men were immediately arrested and taken to the Basseterre Police Station.

SKNVibes understands that the police had found two spent shells within the revolving chambers of the firearm and they conducted ballistic tests to ascertain if the two projectiles were components of the spent shells, as well as if the projectiles had the distinct markings of the barrel of the firearm found in the white jeep.
