SDA Church donates state of the art equipment to hospital

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 26, 2014 (Seventh-day Adventist Church): The Seventh-day Adventist Church, St. Kitts, donated two patient monitoring systems to the JNF France General Hospital on Monday, November 24 for the use of the emergency services division at the JNF France General Hospital and the Mary Charles Hospital, Molineux.

     

    During the handing over ceremony, Coordinating Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, St. Kitts, Pastor Sherwin White, gave remarks.

     

    “As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that once a society is healthy, the individuals can worship and praise God more. We try on a daily basis to forge relationships with different agencies and we have decided to make a tangible contribution to the hospital of two patient monitors. These machines are state of the art and we know they will truly be useful to the hospital and its patients.”

     

    Upon receiving the monitors, Operations Manager, JNF General Hospital, Ms. Launette Adams, said, “I would like to thank the Seventh-day Adventist Church for partnering with us as we try to deliver quality health services. These patient monitors would assist greatly in improving patient care.”

     

    President of the Adventist Community Services Association, Mrs. Talryn Archibald, shared that in previous years, the Association made contributions to several institutions on island and it will continue to provide essential services and make donations. 

     

    Officials who attended the brief ceremony included Seventh-day Adventist Pastors of the island, Pastor Sherwin White, Pastor Kay White, Dentist at the St. Kitts Dental Clinic, Dr. Michael DuVall, Adventist Community Service Association members, Operations Manager, JNF General Hospital, Ms. Launette Adams and other members of staff of the hospital and Ministry of Health. 

     

    The Adventist Community Service Association is the humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church on St. Kitts. The Association leads and partners with other humanitarian and religious-affiliated agencies, community residents and volunteers to coordinate initiatives that will provide for and advance the interests of members in community.
