Basseterre, St. Kitts - The tenth staging of the ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation’s Kittitian Superstar has come in for high praise from one the Federation’s leading business houses, the TDC Group of Companies.
Mrs. Jonelle Rawlins-Drew, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager, spoke of the company’s commitment to the National competition that showcases the vocal talents of many Kittitians and Nevisians.
“In 2004, when we were approached with the idea to endorse a National singing contest, we immediately took advantage of the opportunity to be a part of an activity that would give talented persons yet another outlet for creative and performing expression. Our sponsorship package (in both cash and kind) has helped to pave the way for the many participants to recognize their full potential, while enhancing their singing skills.”
The Marketing Executive also showered praises on the organizers, Mr. St. Clair ‘Chico’ Guishard and his team for their efforts in ensuring that the show has remained a fixture on ZIZ calendar of Community activities.
“We are very are proud to be associated with Kittitian Superstar and congratulate Mr. Guishard and the many persons who have worked to make this event and in particular on the tenth staging a tremendous success. This accomplishment speaks volumes and is clearly one of the reasons why this programme is a main stay on ZIZ’s annual agenda,” said Ms. Drew.
This year, the season kicked off with scores of aspirants, followed by a series of weekly eliminations, where six (6) contestants; Ms. Delrose Wilkinson, Ms. Amina Miller, Mr. Kupa Emamuel, Mr. St. Clair Rawlins, Ms. Tarissa Thomas, Ms. Donielle Brookes and last year’s winner Ms. Kyana Hobson participated in the finals.
In recognition of their outstanding performances, the TDC Group of Companies also presented a variety of prizes to all of the singers and wished them every success in their pursuits to achieve local stardom.
