Police confirm shooting-death in Phillip’s

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE this afternoon (Dec. 6) confirmed that a middle-age man was killed as a result of a shooting incident that occurred earlier today in Phillip’s Village.

     

    The name of the victim provided to this publication is Colin Percival of Phillip’s Village and he is said to be in his 50s.

    Speaking with Deputy Commissioner Stafford Liburd, he told SKNVibes that sometime this morning members of the Tabernacle Police Station responded to a shooting incident in that village, which resulted in the Percival's death.

    He also said that members of the Crime Scene and the Violent Crime Units are currently investigating the circumstances under which he died.

    The Deputy Commissioner stated that the police are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice.

    “Anyone having information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 465-1886, 1887, Tabernacle Police Station at 465-7227, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS). Remember, you do not have to provide your personal information and you may be eligible for a reward.”

    Colin Perceval’s death has taken the number of murders committed in the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for this year to 21.
