    ARRESTS

     

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 17th, 2014  --  Mark Powell of The Alley, Sandy Point was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Refusing To Give Name, which was committed on 12th December 2014.

    Ashley Parris of Bath Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 12th December 2014.

    Cleon Doyling of Saddler Village was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Exposing His Person, which was committed on 13th December 2014.

    Ketneal Browne of Market Street was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis, Possession With Intent To Supply and Obstruction, which were committed on 14th December 2014.

    Alfred Heyliger of Upper Shaw Avenue was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 14th December 2014.

    Johan Areidina of Lower Market Street was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Driving Without Insurance, Driving An Unlicensed Vehicle and Failing To Comply With Traffic Signs to Wit No Entry, which was committed on 10th December 2014.

    Gavin Rogers of Greenlands was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Larceny From The Person, which was committed on 22nd November 2014.

    COURT CONVICTIONS

    District "A" Magistrate Court

    Leroy Martin of Conaree was convicted for the offences of Possession of Crack/ Cocaine, Possession of Cannabis and Trafficking Crack/Cocaine, which were committed on 20th November 2013 at the Ferry Terminal. He was fined $1000 each for Possession of Crack/Cocaine and Trafficking Crack/Cocaine charges to be paid in seven (7) days or in default serve twelve (12) months and fined $500.00 for Possession of Cannabis charge, to be paid by seven (7) days or in default serve twelve months imprisonment.  The sum of $1493.53 EC and US $25.00 which were taken at the time of offences and tendered into evidence were forfeited to the crown.

    District "B" Magistrate Court

    Jamien Clarke of Main Street, Christ Church was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention, which was committed on 9th January 2015 and was fined $800.00 to be paid by 24th May 2014 and was fined $ 800.00 to be paid by 9th January 2015 or in default serve one (1) month imprisonment.

    Cleroy Matthew of Downing Street, Sandy point was convicted for the offences of Driving Without Licence, Driving Without Insurance and Taking Vehicle Without Consent of Owner, which were committed on 3rd November 2013 and was fined $300.00 each for Driving Without Licence and Driving Without Insurance to be paid by 31st December 2014 or in default serve one (1) month imprisonment and was cautioned for Taking Vehicle Without Consent of Owner charge.  

    Ashton Davis of Needsmust was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention, which was committed on 16th July 2013 at New Guinea and was fiend $800.00 to be paid by 9th Jan 2015 or in default serve thirty (30) days imprisonment.

    Steve Powell of Ponds Pasture was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention, which was committed on 19th February 2014 and was fined $800.00 to be paid by 31st December 2014 or in default serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment.

    Daville Zakers of Downing Street, Sandy Point was convicted for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Obstruction Under the Drug Act, which were committed on 3rd October 2014 and was cautioned for Obstruction charge and fined $800.00 for Possession of Cannabis charge to be paid by 9th January 2015 or in default serve thirty (30) days imprisonment.

    JUVENILE COURT CONVICTIONS

    Two juveniles were convicted for the offence of Disorderly Conduct By Fighting, and were both reprimanded and discharged.

    A juvenile was convicted for Carrying Abroad An Offensive Weapon to Wit a "Roll-On Gun" and was sentenced to five (5) hours community service at a Police Station.

    Two juveniles were convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and one was placed at New Horizon Center until 15th June 2015 and the other was reprimanded and discharged.

    TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

    On 12th December 2014, Officers of Old Road Police Station responded to traffic accident which occurred along a dirt road at Fair View Inn, at around 10:30 am. Initial investigation reveals that a visitor of Carnival Valor Cruise Ship, Timothy Thompson was driving ATV motorcycle, lost controlled and fell off the said vehicle. He was injured and was transported to JNF hospital by EMS ambulance. 

    TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN OLD ROAD

    On 12th December 2014, Officers of Old Road Police Station responded to a report made of traffic accident which occurred along the Island Main Road at Old Road Bay. Initial investigation reveals that Motor Jeep P2665 owned and driven by Clinton Langley of BelleVue and  motor van P 2006 Owned by Zilma Dickenson of Davis Road, St, Pauls and driven by Engelbert Pyke of Sandy Point were travelling west along Old Road Bay and collided when P2006 attempted to overtake Motor Jeep P2556. A juvenile who was occupant of P2006, was injured and given one medical form. Measurements, explanations and damages were recorded. 

    PEDESTRIAN INJURED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT 

    Officers of Gingerland Police Station on 13th December 2014 a report made of traffic accident that occurred along the Island Main Road in the vicinity of Brino's Shop at Dasent Road at around 9:15 am. Initial investigation reveals that a pedestrian named Louis Hobson of Hull Ground, Gingerland was crossing the road and was struck by Motor truck P5321 owned by Trading and Development Company Nevis Limited and driven by Godfrey Todd of Jessup Village, The pedestrian was rushed to Alexandria Hospital for treatment by a private vehicle. Measurement and explanations were recorded at the scene. Investigation is on-going.
