The Organization of American States (OAS) and Syracuse University (SU) recently signed an agreement by which the academic institution, located in the state of New York joins the OAS Consortium of Universities, will accept beneficiaries of the OAS scholarship program who wish to pursue graduate degrees.
The OAS Academic Scholarship Program was established to provide educational opportunities throughout OAS member states by awarding scholarships every year for the pursuit of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as graduate research, in both onsite and distance education modalities. The Program’s reach and impact are strengthened and increased through partnerships established through agreements with internationally recognized universities. Currently, over 140 institutions work with the OAS, in the framework of the Consortium, to offer joint scholarships and reduced tuition rates options to OAS scholarship recipients, among other cooperation activities.
Syracuse University is recognized for having distinguished academics who attract students from across the United States and the world. This strength is demonstrated in both its achievements and its diversity, which are a reflection of the legacy of the institution as a place of access and opportunity.
The signed agreement will allow students accepted to the OAS Scholarship Program to pursue graduate studies in schools of management, information studies, education, sciences, computer engineering science, law, public and citizen information, and public affairs.
