Registration opens for Junior Carnival Parade

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, Thursday 11th December 2014 – The National Carnival Committee wishes to inform prospective applicants for the Junior Carnival Parade that registration has commenced. Registration forms are available at the National Carnival Office located at Victoria Road and the Carnival’s website at www.SKNCarnival.com.

     

    The Theme for Sugar Mas 43 is: Mas-tory - A Patriotic Christmas. The Junior Carnival Parade this year tells a patriotic story of Life on the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
     
    Registration: $25.00
    Parade Date: Wednesday 31st December 2014
    Starting Point: Dr. Williams Connor Primary School
    Start Time: 2:00 p.m.

    Zone I - Revelry
     
    Basseterre Schools and Private Institutions
     
    We are not all serious and troublesome for in December, the fun and frolic comes alive as we fete and revel through the streets. The colors, the images and the people join together to make Sugar Mas the sweetest festival the world over. The Junior Carnival Sub-
    Committee wishes to remind each of us of the history and assets of this proud nation and the Carnival that brings each year to a
    spectacular end – Sugar Mas.

    Zone II - Warriors

    Do not let the beauty and tranquility of our people and twinislands lead you to believe that we are a docile people. It is news we like and confusion we breed. Historic battles have been fought most notably between the English and the Carib Warriors that have solidified our fighting spirit. Take a last lick – not we at all.
     
    Zone III - Liamuiga
    Dieppe Bay Primary to Cayon Primary
     
    Each day we are blessed with the bluest skies and water, the coolest North East breezes and a sun that shines brightly.Nature shines through our national flag – the green lush vegetation of Mount Liamuiga, the yellow sunshine, Black heritage and fertile soil, the bloodshed throughout history.
     
    Today we celebrate the PRIDE of being a Kittitian and Nevisian stands for through Nature.
