BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LEADERS of the two major political organisations in St. Kitts and Nevis have each claimed that the other side is guilty of destroying their parties billboards/posters in Constituency Seven.

Speaking yesterday (Jan. 13) on his weekly radio programme 'Ask the Prime Minister', Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas indicated that he was aware of supporters of the opposition in Constituency Number Seven were guilty of destroying the "political material" of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.

“I want to commend Dr. Vance Gilbert for the calmness, responsible and very caring way he has gone about dealing with this issue. I am the first to make this public and I am doing it because I am warning those who are following Dr. Harris.”

Dr. Douglas said reports were made to the police and has sent out a stern warning to those who have intensions creating unrests.

“Keep your hands of Labour political material that is being erected. And I warn you, as we have been making complaints to the police over the last few weeks, do not provoke any kind of necessary disturbance in this election. I warn you!”

However, on Sunday (Jan. 11), Leader of Team Unity Dr. Timothy Harris indicated that he was aware of a plot by his opponent in Constituency Seven to remove his posters.

“The other day he was making noise telling somebody they must pull down me boards. All the war he want to create about boards and poster…me tell them Vance Gilbert have up more posters than what votes he going to get. So I just laughing at the calamity they have in Number Seven.”

Dr. Harris also issued a warning, but this media house is unaware as to whom he was referring.

“Me a warn you, you know. You must be want to bawl like Douglas...Mr. Vienna Sausage me a warn you.”
