Election warm up at opening of Labour’s new Constituency Office in Newton Ground

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 15th 2015 (CUOPM) – The Federation’s Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is expected to begin the warm up to the next general elections at the official opening of his new Constituency Office in Newton Ground this evening.

     

    The opening of the office on the island’s main road will feature the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 6 and the incumbent candidate for the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party of which he is the National Political Leader.

    According to organisers, the opening which includes a rally, will see the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s candidates for the eight St. Kitts constituencies on the platform.

    Each of the candidates will be introduced by a youth from their respective constituencies before rallying the troops.
     
    The governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party candidates for the general elections constitutionally due by June 2015 are the Hon. Dr. Earl Asim Martin (St. Christopher 1); the Hon. Marcella Liburd (St. Christopher 2); Mr. Konris Maynard (St. Christopher 3); the Hon. Glenn Phillip (St. Christopher 4); Dr. Norgen Wilson (St. Christopher 5); the Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas (St. Christopher 6); Dr. Vance Gilbert) (St. Christopher 7) and Dr.  Terrance Drew (St. Christopher 8).
