WASHINGTON, D.C., 21 January 2015 (PAHO Foundation) – PAHO Foundation has appointed Veronica Edwards, President and CEO, InGenesis, and Victoria Jones, Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Community Relations, The Clorox Company, to its Board of Trustees for three-year terms effective January 1, 2015. Formerly known as PAHEF - Pan American Health and Education Foundation, PAHO Foundation is the philanthropic partner of the Pan American Health Organization and provides opportunities for individuals, corporations and foundations to help disadvantaged people across Latin America and the Caribbean overcome obstacles to health.

Edwards is owner and CEO of InGenesis, a premier global supplier of workforce solutions recently named the #1 fastest growing firm in America by Staffing Industry Analysts. Her accomplishments in business, finance and human resources have been widely recognized. She received the National Hispanic Business Woman of the Year award from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; was honored as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist; and named one of America’s Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs by Inc. magazine.
Edwards also has a deep interest in public health and community engagement. In addition to her service as a PAHO Foundation Trustee, she honored her late brother Darrell Muzquiz through a partnership with the American Diabetes Association (ADA). In the past three years, InGenesis’ fundraising efforts for the ADA has made the company a top corporate partner in helping the organization find a cure for diabetes. Edwards also serves as a Trustee of the World Affairs Council, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and University of the Incarnate World (UIW).
Edwards, is a graduate and a recognized Distinguished Alumna of Texas State University. She has an MBA and is a recognized Distinguished Alumni from UIW and her ongoing research interests include global disaster preparedness and workforce planning for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) events.
Jones is Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Community Relations for The Clorox Company, and Vice President/Secretary of The Clorox Company Foundation. She began her career with Clorox in 1995 and currently directs and manages the company’s global interactions with governments, looking for win-win solutions in the creation of sound public policy and sustainable results.
She also guides the foundation in its grant-making, seeking opportunities to partner with organizations to support strong, healthy communities; oversees the company employee giving campaigns and volunteer initiatives; and leads the company’s disaster relief efforts to make sure needed product and financial help reaches those in dire need around the globe. The Clorox Company has been dedicated to infection prevention — a major initiative of the PAHO Foundation — since it was founded more than a century ago, starting with its namesake bleach in 1913 and expanding in more recent years to include a host of products for both consumers and healthcare professionals.
In addition to service as a PAHO Foundation Trustee, Jones has a track record of community engagement. She is past Chair of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and a founding member and past Vice Chair of the Oakland African-American Chamber; a former member of the board of directors of the Community Bank of the Bay, a bank that provides loans to small businesses to advance economic development in California; and member of the Executive Leadership Council, a national organization comprised of African-American executives in Fortune 500 companies.
Jones is a native of California and has been recognized by several organizations for her service to the community. She was named “Woman of Distinction in Excellence” by the East Bay Business Times; received the 2013 “Black Elected Officials and Faith-Based Leaders’ Community Leaders” award, and was honored by the East Bay Community Foundation.
Jones is a Business Management graduate of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and holds a MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
