Labour Party launches election manifesto on Saturday Night; Whistle Stop and Massive Political Rally on Sunday

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 7TH 2014 (CUOPM) - The governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party is to officially launch its 2015 Election Manifesto tonight (Saturday 7TH February 2015). 

     

    And on Sunday 8th February 2015, the first of  island-wide two Whistle Stops will be staged.

    Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Sharylle Richardson said the launching of the 2015 Labour Manifesto, takes place in Molineux at 7: 30 p.m.

    The document will highlight the party’s vision to further develop of the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis over the next five years and beyond.

    This significant milestone for St. Kitts and Nevis comes a week after the introduction of all 8 Labour Party candidates at the Shoreline in Basseterre.

    A manifesto launch, also features the Nu Vybes Band, Lord Kut, and Skinny Fabulous, who is well known for his “Show Me You Voting Finger,” rendition, officially begins with entrance of Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and his seven other candidates.

    Prime Minister Douglas, the National Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), who is seeking a fifth consecutive term in office, will give brief remarks at the opening.

    The seven other Labour Party candidates will speak briefly on issues including crime, green energy, culture, healthcare, sports, education, agriculture, relations with Nevis, scholarships, housing and infrastructure.

    The presentations, including very brief vox pop introducing their respective topics, will be interspersed by Lord Kut’s popular rendition “The MONC.”

    Prime Minister Douglas will participate in the launching of the 2015 General Election Labour Party Manifesto.

    Party organisers state that the Island-wide Whistle Stop on Sunday 8th, begins at the Basseterre Shoreline at 1 p.m. travelling westwards and culminating with a Massive Political Rally in Cayon at 8 pm.
