BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN 2003 Kittitian sprint ace shocked the world when he won the 100m at the IAAF World Championships in Paris, and today, some 12 years later, he continues to impress as a 38-year-old sprinter who is currently undefeated thus far in 2015.

In most cases, athletes tend to pull off their best performances between the ages of 25-33 but, in the case of Collins, his best performances seem to have come beyond that time line.

So far in 2015, Collins had participated in eight 60-meter events across the globe and he won all of them, with the latest being a 6.50-second dash in the 2015 Salisbury games in Birmingham yesterday (Feb. 21).

In his eight performances thus far, Collins has set new personal best and national records twice, with the first being on February 1 at the Russian Winter meet in a time of 6.48 seconds.

His second personal best and national record for the year came earlier last week in Poland, as the 38-year-old shaved 0.01 seconds off his best to win in 6.47 seconds.

In an interview with SKNVibes, Public Relations Officer of the St. Kitts Amateur Athletic Association stated that Collins’ performances thus far is on par to break the 9.96 barrier in the 100 metres.
