BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THIS evening (Mar. 1) as most of the Federation was preparing itself for sleep in anticipation of a new day, a young man was shot and killed in St. Paul’s.
The young man is said to be in his late teenage years and was reportedly shot while in the Project area in someone’s yard.
SKNVibes understands that the incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. and the young man died on the scene.
Members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force had arrived on the scene and were making investigations into the matter.
An individual who was on the scene following the incident said they observed the authorities making their investigations and indicated that a firearm was found during these inquiries, which was taken into police custody.
Up to about an hour after the incident had occurred, this publication understands, the undertakers had not yet arrived to remove the body from the area.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
