Head-on collision leaves one hospitalised

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A vehicle attached to the Joseph N. France General Hospital and a privately-owned motorcar were involved in a head-on collision this afternoon (Mar. 2) which left one of the drivers hospitalised.

The incident occurred sometime around 2:00 p.m. in the Dieppe Bay area.

Information reaching SKNVibes indicates that a motor pickup was parked on the side of the road when the JNF motor van P3540, driven by Kenneth Herbert of Cayon, made an attempt to overtake it.

At the same time, motorcar P9260, driven by Bryan Richards of St. Paul’s, was approaching from the opposite direction and the collision occurred.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and SKNVibes understands that Richards appeared to have suffered injuries to his head or face, evident by the large amount of blood that covered those areas.

He was reportedly taken to the JNF Hospital where he is being treated.

Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
