BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – GOOD observation and efficient work by members of the Delta Squad had led to the removal of a firearm and a quantity of matching rounds from the streets of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Information reaching SKNVibes indicates that two young men from St. Paul’s are currently in custody after one of them was found last evening (Mar. 3) in possession of a 9mm pistol and a quantity of ammunition.
This publication learned that shortly after 6:00 p.m., while on patrol just on the outskirts of Cayon in the vicinity of Windsor University, members of the Delta Squad had stopped the young men who were travelling on a four-wheel motorcycle (All-terrain vehicle).
A search was conducted on their person and also the ATV, which revealed the find.
They were taken into custody along with the pistol and ammunition, but it is not yet known if or when they will be charged.
More on this recent find as information becomes available.
Just four days ago another firearm was taken off the streets, which is suspected to have been involved in the murder of Jason Bradshaw-Francis of Grove Village, St. Paul’s who was attacked by three armed, masked assailants at Rawlins Housing Project.
