BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 19th, 2015 - On Saturday, February 28, 2015 The Bank of Nova Scotia-Bird Rock Branch (Scotiabank) held a Car Wash at Ram’s Parking Lot from 8:00am to 12noon. The Car Wash was not just an ordinary exercise but a charity event that was carefully designed to raise funds in aid of Reach for Recovery, St. Kitts better known as The Breast Cancer Association.
Employees of Scotiabank Bird Rock in collaboration with team members from the Fort Street participated in the Car Wash with much enthusiasm. The fund raising journey was very successful as contributions were generously given because persons considered the cause and not the cost. Scotiabank’s staff was able to raise EC$5,000.00 and an additional EC$5,000.00 will be matched by The Bank of Nova Scotia Bright Future Program amounting to EC$10,000.00.
The Scotiabank Bird Rock team is genuinely proud to donate towards the Breast Cancer Association and honoured to give back to the community in which it serves.
Management and Staff of Scotiabank say special thanks to Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank, Ram’s Group of Companies, Island Auto Supplies, our willing ticket patrons for their various contributions.
