BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHILE an official announcement is yet to be made, signs point to the imminent appointment of Team Unity activist Clecton Phillip as Press Secretary to Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris.
More than one week ago, WINNFM reported that the contract of Erasmus Williams, who, for many years, was Press Secretary to the former Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, had been terminated. But, at that time, no announcement was made about his replacement.
Rumours were rife however that Phillip was tipped to fill that position.
Notwithstanding that an official announcement is yet to be made, Phillip issued two emails today (Mar. 26) – one being the Prime Minister’s address to the nation which he delivered last evening and the other being a press release crafted from said speech.
The texts emailed were disseminated in documents bearing the Coat of Arms and the words “Government of St. Kitts and Nevis” as well as “Office of the Prime Minister”.
SKNVibes made several attempts to contact the Prime Minister via his cellphone but none was successful.
