BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SHOTS rang out in the Greenlands area this morning (Apr. 10) which left one individual wounded and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
SKNVibes received word at about 10:30 a.m. that the incident had taken place shortly before then and, upon arrival at the scene, this publication found that the incident took place in the yard of the Old Education Building.
Also on arrival, members of the Crime Scene Unit were present and making investigations into the incident.
Residents of the area indicated to this publication that they heard at least eight shots being fired.
Press and Public Relations Officer of the Police Force Inspector Lyndon David confirmed that one person was injured during the incident but said he was not in a position to provide further information at that time.
