Bank of Nevis Loan Manager shot to death

    CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE Federation has recorded its 13 murder for the year earlier this evening (Apr. 17) with the shooting-death of a male employee of the Bank of Nevis.

     

    Information reaching this publication states that the victim’s name is Everette Hanley of Hamilton Estate, who was employed as the Credit Manager at the Bank of Nevis.

    SKNVibes learned that the 57-year-old Hanley was shot multiple times to the body when he exited his vehicle in the vicinity of his home shortly befor 10:00 p.m.

    It was also learnt that the motive might have been robbery.

    Police of the Nevis Division are currently investigating and more will be had on this reprehensible incident in a subsequent article as information becomes available.

    On Monday October 3, 2011, Hanley was appointed Assistant Credit Manager at the Bank of Nevis Limited.
     
    According to a press release issued at that time, the Nevisian father of three had taken to the position a wealth of experience in banking and credit having served at Barclays/CIBC First Caribbean International Bank for over 35 years in both supervisory and management roles across the Caribbean with his last position as Deputy Director of Receivables Management, Credit Risk Department in Barbados.  

    He was the holder of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Durham University, England.
     
    Everette Hanley’s death has taken to 13 the number of murders committed in the Federation for the year; four on Nevis and nine on St. Kitts.
