Man shot, killed in Cayon

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LITTLE more than 24 hours after the Federation recorded its 13th murder, news spread of the death of a man who was reportedly shot while on the veranda of his home.

     

    SKNVibes understands the shooting incident occurred sometime after 12:00 a.m. (Apr. 19) in the Upper Cayon area.

     

    Information remains sketchy at this time but this publication understands that multiple shots had been fired during the onslaught.

     

    Members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force visited the scene of the crime and had begun making investigations.

     

    This registers the Federation’s 14th homicide for the year.

     

    The 13th occurred sometime during the evening of April 17 when Everette Hanley of Nevis was shot and killed in the vicinity of his home during what is believed to have been a robbery attempt.

     

    Both incidents are under investigation and members of the public are asked to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 if they have information that would assist the authorities with their investigations.
