By: SKNIS, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 23, 2015 (SKNIS):  Prime Minister Dr. Hon Timothy Harris is busy fulfilling the mandate of government as he meets with various departments of the security services this week.

Yesterday (April 22), he met with officers of Her Majesty’s Prison after visiting with officers and members of the Fire and Rescue Services.

The meetings are the first of what will be routine consultations with departments by the Prime Minister who also holds responsibility for the Ministries of National Security, Finance, Sustainable Development/People Empowerment and Constituency Empowerment. The purpose of these consultations is to learn the key concerns of the members from first hand interaction, and to arrive at the most suitable course of action to ensure continued comfort, efficiency and professionalism.

Today (April 23) Dr Harris will deliver the feature address at the Passing Out ceremony of the St. Kitts & Nevis Defense Force Basic Military Course Number 16, held at Camp Springfield, where 15 recruits will graduate to the first rank of Private Soldiers.
