NY: Jamaica's former and longest serving prime minister the Most Hon. P J Patterson will be a special guest on ABC TV's popular Sunday afternoon show, Here & Now.

Here & Now is a weekly one hour program, airing on Channel 7 that's dedicated to covering the issues and interests of the African-American community. Mr. Patterson's wide-ranging interview was recorded while he was in New York to address a jam-packed Grace Kennedy/ Western Union community forum at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn called "The Caribbean Diaspora- Borderless Possibilities" that continued in Toronto and South Florida.

Among the issues discussed during the interview were Jamaica's growth and development, her economic challenges, the legalization and research opportunities for marijuana in Jamaica, a vision for the new US/ Cuba relationship within the framework of the wider Caribbean agenda and the important role that GraceKennedy and Western Union play in the Caribbean.

Mr. Patterson's appearance on the show was orchestrated by Dave Rodney of IMAGES LLC in New York.

"This platform is very important to us as it provides an excellent opportunity to engage not just Jamaicans but the wider Caribbean Diaspora about issues that are critical to their home countries", Michelle Allen, CEO of GraceKennedy Money Services said.

A broadcast date for the segment will be announced later.
