BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A daring afternoon robbery at RAMS Wholesale outlet in Bird Rock has resulted in one individual suffering an injury to the head and an undisclosed sum of money stolen from the establishment.
Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David told SKNVibes that the incident occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Friday (May 22).
He explained on entering the building, one of the two perpetrators who was armed with a gun attacked a senior employee of the establishment and injured him in the head.
SKNVibes understands that the men had stolen an undisclosed sum of money before making good their escape.
Inspector David said he is not certain if the police have any suspect in custody regarding this incident, but indicated that investigations are being made.
He has however issued an appeal to the public seeking its assistance in providing any information that might lead to the apprehension of the perpetrators.
He also said that should anyone have such information, they could contact the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
