CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A young man is currently hospitalised in stable condition after he was shot last night (May 24) near his Stoney Grove home on Nevis.
Reports reaching SKNVibes state that the shooting victim’s name is Sheldon Newton.
This publication learned that the incident took place at approximately 7:45 p.m. after Newton had left his home to go on an errand.
Shortly after leaving there, two men, who are said to have been in wait, ambushed him in proximity of his residence.
Sources told SKNVibes that he was shot multiple times but the injuries are non-life threatening; one bullet to the shoulder and two that grazed other parts of his body including his hand.
Newton was was rushed to the Alexandra Hospital, where is warded in stable condition.
Police on Nevis are investigating and are also seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
