A new day is upon us.” This was the clarion call and message of Leader of the People’s Action Movement and Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Shawn K Richards at and exciting and historic 50th Anniversary convention of the second oldest political party in the federation.
The charistmatic PAM Leader declared “We are PAM! We are PAM in Unity! And we express with our wider Family in Team Unity, our shared values of good governance, and our commitment to bring relief and a better way of life for all the people of ST. Kitts and Nevis through a Prosperity Agenda.”
In what has been described as one of Richards’ most moving and memorable Convention speeches the beloved MP for Constituency#5 reiterated his Team UNITY’s government’s commitment to pursuing and delivering a Fresh Start and Fair Share for all citizens.
Richards said , “We have made a Fresh Start, and everyone will get their fair share.
We celebrate our legacy and define our future.”
“We in the Peoples Action Movement have committed ourselves to work with our partners to bring hope and goodwill to our Nation, to all the people of St. Kitts and Nevis! Under the banner of Unity! Under the Government of National Unity!!” Richards emphatically concluded.
The 50th Anniversary convention drew hundreds of party faithfuls to the Party Headquarters. The event was addressed by the country;s first Prime Minister and Party Founding member Rt. Hon Dr. Sir Kennedy A Simmonds as well guest speaker US Councillman Ken W Clifton.
